The Langford Wellbeing Wheel

Your best life is made up of lots of small parts. Each part is important.

The Langford Wellbeing Wheel helps us understand all the small
parts that make a great, happy, healthy life for you.

We use it to make sure we are planning safe, quality supports that
are a good match for you.

We use it to support you when you’re setting and achieving your
wellbeing goals.

There are six Wellbeing Domains. We will encourage you to take control and make decisions in each one of your Wellbeing Domains.

Home

Home at Langford is all about feeling comfortable and being safe where you live.

It’s making sure it’s safe for you to get around and that you have the right supports at home.

It could be making sure you know what to do in an emergency or even supporting you to own a pet.  

Relationships

Everyone has the right to healthy, respectful relationships.

Your most important people in your life are probably your friends, family or partner.

Connecting with other people and building relationships is great for your wellbeing.

Culture

Culture is shared between people, families and communities. It’s about doing the things that make you feel like you.

Culture is really personal, and everyone learns about it and shares it in their own way:

Sometimes it’s about religion or family traditions. It could also be things like going to a footy game, going to art exhibitions or museums, or travelling on a plane to discover new cultures.

Community

Being part of a community can help you feel less alone and more like you belong somewhere.

We can support you to access your community… Things like finding work, going to the local café, accessing education, learning new skills or playing sports are all goals that can be achieved.

Sometimes it’s about supporting you to build your skills so you can access your community without us.  

Emotional Health

When you understand how your feelings and emotions work, you are more likely to be happy and live a great life.

When you can manage and express your emotions, it’s easier to handle challenges, stay positive and enjoy life in a balanced way.

Physical Health

Physical Health is all about how your body functions as it grows, feels and moves.

We can support you to build healthy habits, move in ways that make your body and mind feel good, and access the healthcare you need… So you can feel great and live longer.
