Community Access supports at Langford… Learn new skills, build your confidence and do more of what matters to you.

Live your life your way, with the right support beside you.

At Langford, Community Access is all about helping you do more of what matters to you. Whether you want to learn new skills, build your confidence, get out and about, or simply enjoy time doing activities you love, we’re here to make it easier, safer, and more enjoyable.

Every person we support is unique, so we take the time to understand your interests, goals and the kind of everyday life you want. From there, we shape supports around you…
never the other way around.

What Community Access can look like

Community Access looks different for every person we support, because it’s based on each person’s unique needs and goals. It might include things like:

  • Learning and skill development
  • Recreation, social and wellbeing activities
  • Support to participate in your community
  • Assistance to build routines and independence

Some people prefer one‑on‑one support. Others enjoy small‑group activities at places like the Langford Community Hub, where you can learn new skills, meet new people, and enjoy inclusive, relaxed activities in a welcoming environment.

Community Access supports designed around your goals

At Langford, we support each person using the Langford Wellbeing Wheel and a personalised planning approach. We work at your pace, respecting your strengths, preferences and comfort level. Our team supports around 100 people across southern Tasmania, helping them set meaningful goals and work toward them in ways that feel achievable and empowering.

Whether your goals are big, small, long‑term or week‑to‑week, we’ll support you to:

  • Build confidence in the community
  • Strengthen life and social skills
  • Develop routines that support independence
  • Explore activities that bring joy and meaning
  • Stay connected to the people and places that matter most
