Rosie delivers her latest commission
Langford participant Rosie dropped into Langford to deliver her commissioned piece The Doggy Garden. Rosie creates her art based on nature and creatures, using her own unique style.

After seeing some of Rosie’s previous pieces, Community Access Team Leader, Kate commissioned one her own.
“I love it. I can’t believe how well she captured the personalities of Harry and Ox,” said Kate.
“Ox is twelve now and Harry is no longer with us, it’s so lovely to see them together,” she continued.
To get the piece started, Kate shared photos of Harry and Ox with Rosie. Rosie then used a projector to sketch the outlines of the pooches onto the canvas, before putting paint to canvas.
The Doggy Garden took shape over two sessions at art space Archaica Schola, before being finished by Rosie at home.
Rosie’s style and use of colour have evolved over time, but one thing has stayed the same – her works are always inspired by her life living on a farm.
“The photos from Kate were a bit plain, so I added in some colour and features,” said Rosie.
Rosie’s favourite part of the process was painting Harry.
“I liked painting the black dog, because it’s just like my puppy,” she said.
